The developer reduced impact on the environment during the construction stage, by careful control of the site, including a rigorous process of waste removal. "Our emphasis was on the reduction of waste - construction materials were also carefully monitored," said Marek Kremeň from EXERGY Studios, the engineers whose aim is to achieve a ‘Gold’ LEED certificate for UNIQ Staromestská, once the building’s glass façade is completed. 

The working environment within the new building is further enhanced by adherence to the biophilia philosophy*. The accessible green roof will provide space for relaxation and dedicated tenants’ events, while also improving insulation, reducing dirt and retaining rainwater. Modern materials combined with green planting will ensure that the roof reflects more than 78% of sunlight.
