UNIQ Staromestská offers the latest contemporary design concepts, including a superb green roof offering impressive views out over the Old Town panorama, a boutique hotel-style reception area with concierge services, priority parking for electric cars and low CO2-emissions cars, and even a parking app!. UNIQ Staromestská, offers tenants the very latest design thinking. This remarkable new development designed by the international studio Bogle Architects for development company CRESCO GROUP makes the well-being of its new tenants an absolute priority, supported by state-of-the-art technologies and top-class services.
"From the project’s inception, our aim was to create a commercial development project which would set a new benchmark in terms of quality and amenities. The scheme on Staromestská Street optimises its superb central location. UNIQ Staromestská creates a healthy and stylish workplace, while minimizing the building’s impact on the environment. We have invested primarily in eco-friendly technologies, for example air recirculation ceilings and LED lighting," said Ján Krnáč, Managing Director of CRESCO GROUP.
The developer reduced impact on the environment during the construction stage, by careful control of the site, including a rigorous process of waste removal. "Our emphasis was on the reduction of waste - construction materials were also carefully monitored," said Marek Kremeň from EXERGY Studios, the engineers whose aim is to achieve a ‘Gold’ LEED certificate for UNIQ Staromestská, once the building’s glass façade is completed.
The working environment within the new building is further enhanced by adherence to the biophilia philosophy*. The accessible green roof will provide space for relaxation and dedicated tenants’ events, while also improving insulation, reducing dirt and retaining rainwater. Modern materials combined with green planting will ensure that the roof reflects more than 78% of sunlight. The exterior of the building will be covered in greenery which will retain rainwater and support natural evaporation.
UNIQ Staromestská’ s use of modern technology:
- LED lights
- Automated shading system
- Automated lighting in offices
- Intelligent building management system to ensure efficient energy use
- Separate system of heating and air conditioning to ensure thermal comfort
- Charging stations for electric cars
- Natural air ventilation through windows
- Safely-located bike stands, showers and changing rooms for bikers
The project’s world-class design consists of three underground and seven above-ground floors. A total office area of 7,565 m2 will be available for our discerning clients, while the scheme also provides 917 m2 of retail facilities.
UNIQ Staromestská opens its doors to its new tenants in early May 2017.

* The biophilia hypothesis suggests that humans possess an innate tendency to seek connections with nature. The study demonstrates that we respond positively to a green environment, which in turn enhances mental health and work performance. The study is increasingly integrated into the design of contemporary living and working environments.
