When we were asked to look at the Staromestska project we knew it would have to be a sensitive yet contemporary intervention in the historical urban structure of Bratislava. The townscape has a strong character which immediately suggested to me that we should design a building that had a curvilinear appearance, almost feminine, to create a counterpoint within the rich texture of the City.
I find that the relationship of this contemporary modern office building, within the historic local setting, offers a vibrancy that is certainly unique for Bratislava.
